Scavenger Hunt

Discover the charm of Old Town Clovis and explore six square blocks of unique dining, shopping, and fun. Be sure to visit San Joaquin Valley Policy Conference sponsored restaurants for a true taste of Clovis.

While exploring, be sure to take lots of pictures. Your list of suggested photo opportunities is your treasure map which leads to a big prize. Take the photos in any order you wish. You do not have to take all the listed photos, but each one is worth points. The team with the most points will be the big winner. Results will be announced during Friday’s Conference Wrap-up and Gift Giveaway.

1. Form or join a team of at least four people.
2. Create a team name
3. Create a sign which prominently shows your team name
4. Take a photo of your entire team, with your sign clearly displayed in the photo
5. Forward the photo, by text, to a number provided to you at the conference
6. In the same text, list the full names of each of your team members
7. Have fun

1. As you snap your pictures, text each photo to a number provided to you at the conference. NO, VIDEOS PLEASE
   • In your text, include your team name and Photo Op number.
2. You will have until 7:30 p.m. to submit your photos; anything received after 7:30 p.m. will not qualify.

If you should have any questions during your hunt, please visit any one of the sponsored restaurant locations and talk with Fresno COG staff or call Jeaneen Cervantes at (559) 825-1848. Do not send photos to this number, they will not qualify or count toward your points.

All your team members must be visible in all photos.

1. Take a photo with Festus (1 point)
2. Pose with a piano (1 point)
3. Walk like an Egyptian (2 points)
4. Fit your entire team onto one single bench without any of your feet touching the ground (2 points)
5. Pose inside of any store or restaurant (1 point)
   • Two (2) extra points if you are all behind the counter
   • Five (5) extra points of you are all wearing a uniform, apron, hat, etc from that business
6. Take one photo that shows every one of your team members hi-fiving a different stranger (5 points)
7. Take photo(s) of entire team posing with a historical marker, plaque, or statue (1 point each)
8. Walk across the street like the Beatles on Abby Road (2 points)
9. Spell “YMCA” with your arms (1 point)
10. Take a photo of your entire group looking down from a balcony (2 points)
11. Pose in front of an antique store (1 point)
12. Pose in front of a clothing store (1 point)
13. Pose in front of a coffee shop (1 point)
14. Take a photo of all team members wearing hats (1 point)
15. Form a human pyramid (5 points)
16. Take a photo of entire team in the back of a truck (3 points)
    • Five (5) extra points if the truck is driving on the street
17. Pose in front of a sign that contains the word “Rodeo” (1 point)
18. Pose in front of a sign that contains the word “Clovis” (1 point)
19. Pose in front of a sign that contains the words “Old Town” (1 point)
20. Pose in front of a sign that contains the word “Gateway” (1 point)
21. Pose in front of a sign that contains the words “Farmers Market” (1 point)
22. Pose in front of a picture of Marcus Pollasky (1 point)
23. Pose with a stranger who is wearing a cowboy hat (1 point)
24. Take a picture of entire team sitting at a bar (1 point)
    • Two (2) extra points if each team member is holding a drink
    • Five (5) extra points if one of one team member is behind the bar and pouring a drink
25. Take a picture of entire team wearing sunglasses (2 point)
26. Take a photo of entire team hitchhiking (1 point)
27. Pose in front of a patriotic image, flag, or statue (1 point)
